This area develops national and European projects on education systems, the transition from education and training to the workplace, the processes of employment and re-employment. It has conducted initiatives to support the evaluation and implementation of instruments for the application of public policies. It also provides technical assistance and advice on programs funded by the EU.
Research mainly focuses on the following issues: the transition from school to work, school dropouts and child labour, education and vocational training, learning, skills and certifications, continuous learning, policy evaluation models.
